COVID Vaccination Update

As of April 7th, 2023, we are no longer requiring our employees to be vaccinated against COVID-19, nor are we requiring weekly COVID-19 testing for unvaccinated employees.

Position Summary:

To empower parents in their children’s education and development in coordination with Head Start for Kent County Administration and the Board of Directors.

Qualifications:

· Parent or guardian of a currently enrolled child at Head Start for Kent County.

· Will like to be a leader at your child’s site and be involved in your child’s education.

· Be able to attend monthly Policy Council meeting regularly.

· Be able to follow through with commitments.

· Have an interest in making decisions about Head Start.

· Cannot have a relative that works for Head Start for Kent County.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Attending the monthly Policy Council meetings.

· Giving a brief report of Policy Council activities to parents during Family Engagement Events.

· Helping complete the Annual Self-Assessment.

· Encouraging other parents to attend their site Family Engagement Events.

· Encouraging other parents to become involved in the program.
