Student Practicum Opportunities

Head Start for Kent County currently serves some of the most vulnerable children and families in Kent County. We also provide careers for individuals desiring to empower others and ensure that children have the opportunity to enter school ready to learn and thrive with their peers!

HS4KC offers volunteer practicum placements for students pursuing degrees in Early Childhood Education and related fields. These are a great opportunity for students to find future career opportunities, network with agencies throughout the community, and ultimately decide what is the best career path for them.

We are proud to offer opportunities for students in various departments, including Social Services, Home Visiting, and Education. Volunteer practicum assignments throughout the agency offer hands on training and experience, may offer students college credits, may be eligible for end-of-semester stipends, and can lead to full-time positions within the agency.
