Head Start has partnered with the Literacy Center of West Michigan to create a Family Literacy program. Parents are able to meet with tutors once a week to work on their English as a Second Language skills, or to improve their reading and writing for long-term educational goals. Parents who participate also enjoy a monthly meeting for the whole family that teaches the parents new ideas to use literacy in the home.
