We are excited to announce the opening of 9 additional Early Head Start (EHS) classrooms at various sites around Kent County!
These infant/toddler classrooms are uniquely designed to provide a safe and nurturing environment for up to eight children in a mixed-age group setting. Primary teachers partner with the parents to provide consistent, individualized care. Teachers utilize a play-based curriculum to provide experiences which promote learning throughout every part of the day. Formula, baby food, diapers, and wipes are provided at no cost to the family.
Eligibility:
- Children 6 weeks to 3 years old
- Income must be at or below the Federal Poverty Guidelines
- Receiving Public Assistance (SNAP, TANF, SSI Disability)
- Experiencing homelessness
- In Foster Care
