Site Supervisor

Position Overview

Directs the day to day operation, administration, and maintenance of the child development program and the facility. Manages and develops center staff to operate a safe and efficient center including being available to address parent, child, and staff issues. Serve as a content-area expert within the State of Michigan Licensing Rules and Regulations to ensure all rules are being followed and complied with.

  • Ensures the implementation of the Head Start Program in accordance with the Federal Performance Standards and the State of Michigan Licensing Regulations
  • Maintains an orderly, healthy and safe environment conducive to optimal growth and development of children in compliance with agency, state and federal guidelines and regulations
  • Ensures classrooms are utilizing the designated curriculum in alignment with the Agency’s School Readiness Goals
  • Conducts regular monitoring of classrooms through various tools including but not limited to daily safety checklist, classroom monitoring, health and safety screener, CLASS, and CACFP
  • Monitors and Reviews MBI/MBO data for continuous quality improvement

Requirements

  • One of the following:
    • Bachelor’s degree or higher with a stated major in Early Childhood Education or Child Development
    • A Bachelor’s degree or higher in a child-related field including 18 credit hours in Early Childhood Education or Child Development and 480 hours of experience
    • A Bachelor’s degree in any area that includes a minimum of 18 credit hours in Early Childhood Education or Child Development and 1920 hours of experience
  • Must have or complete a minimum of two (2) semester hours in childcare administration within six (6) months of hire in accordance with the Licensing Rules for Child Care Centers

Base Pay

  • $30.27 – $32.43

  • Mon-Fri
    • Hours may vary, but should be similar to: Mon-Thurs [7:30am-5:00pm] & Fri [7:30am-11:30am]
